We are excited to announce that all spots for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Saturday 14^th September in support of Grace House are filled! This amazing response highlights our community’s dedication. Many thanks to the 15 people who registered including a group of 10 from Faltec Europe Limited.

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, spanning 24 miles and a total ascent of 1,585 meters, within 12 hours. This journey tests both endurance and unity, offering stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales.

Grace House provides vital support to disabled children, young people and their families. Funds raised from this event will mean we can continue providing services such as counselling, work experience, youth groups and much more to families from across the North East who need these important services.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who has signed up, helping us turn this challenge into a success. We wish everyone the best of luck for the challenge and in their fundraising.

August 12th, is a very special day. It’s International Youth Day! 🎉 This is a day to celebrate all the amazing young people around the world, including you!

This year, we are talking about “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World.” 🌍 What does that mean? It means learning how to take care of our planet by doing things like recycling, saving energy, and protecting nature. 🌳

At Grace House we believe every young person, no matter their abilities, can help make the world a better place. We want you to know that your ideas and actions are important. Whether it’s planting trees, reducing plastic use, or just sharing your thoughts on how to make things better, you can make a big difference! 🌱

We are here to help you learn and grow. We have fun programs and activities where you can discover new things, meet friends, and be a part of exciting projects. 🚀 Look at some of the planting activities we have been taking part in during our various groups.

Grace House Summer Spectacular: A Day to Remember!

At Grace House, we are always thrilled to partner with a variety of organisations that support our work with disabled children in the local area. This year, we were incredibly fortunate to receive Community Chest funding from Sunderland City Council’s North Sunderland Area Committee, which helped us bring our Summer Spectacular to life on July 6th at Southwick Primary School.

A Big Thank You to North Sunderland Area Committee

The North Sunderland Committee plays a vital role in identifying local needs, monitoring services, and prioritizing issues that matter to residents. They cover the Castle, Fulwell, Redhill, St Peters, and Southwick wards, ensuring that everyone in these communities has a voice. Thanks to their generous contribution, we were able to provide a fantastic array of activities at our event.

What Made the Day Spectacular

With the funds from the North Sunderland Committee, we organized an unforgettable day filled with joy and excitement. We had a talented face painter who transformed children into their favourite characters, art packs that brought creativity to 300 children, an adorable animal petting zoo, and a mesmerizing magician who left everyone in awe.

But the magic didn’t stop there! We were also blessed with contributions from two amazing local organisations, Love Amelia and SARA, as well as a generous sponsorship from Richard Reed. Their support truly made a difference in making the day great.

Unforgettable Memories

The highlight of the day was seeing the children’s faces light up with joy. They were showered with colour powder, laughed endlessly, and created memories that will last a lifetime. It was a day filled with happiness and fun, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the invaluable support all the organisations that supported us.

Introducing The Grace House Summer Spectacular

This year, we are excited to introduce to you The Grace House Summer Spectacular, our main event of the Summer. The Summer Spectacular will bring together The Race for Grace colour run and Summer Fayre into one big fun day for the whole family on Saturday 6th July at Southwick Primary School.
