The AJ Bell Junior Great North Run takes place on closed roads around the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside, making it a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. Juniors aged 9-16 tackle a 4km supercharged sprint.

There’s nothing quite like the amazing sight of thousands of happy, smiling, active kids taking part for fun, for charity, for a challenge and earning a very special medal for their efforts. With plenty of encouragement and high fives from the crowds, it’s an action-packed day with an atmosphere like no other.

National 3 Peaks Challenge

Take on one of the toughest walking challenges available in the UK as you scale the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis provide the backdrop and the road for your expedition, accompanied by your Three Peaks Walking Guide; Orange John . Together, we’ll tackle this challenge, whether you’re an individual or a larger group, ascending over 10,000 feet! Depending on the route we take, you’ll hike between 23 and 25 miles. It’s challenging (as it should be!) but, with a decent level of fitness and a desire to succeed, you’ll make it.

What You Need to Know

  • This is a three-day event: the first is spent travelling to the maiden points, on the second, the real challenge begins and on the third, we’ll complete it.
  • A kit list will be provided upon booking.
  • You’ll be accompanied by fully qualified, fully insured guides, all with up to date outdoor first aid qualifications.

Entry is £100 which includes a stay in a hotel in Fort William on the Saturday night, all travel and your medal and certificate. We ask that you try and raise £300 in sponsorship for this event.

You will return back to Sunderland on Monday 29th May.
