Who We Are

Grace House is a Sunderland based charity working across the North East, providing support to disabled children, young people and their families.  We offer services to the whole family and offer wrap around care to each individual wherever possible.

Grace House was established in 2003 through the vision of Kathy Secker, a local newsreader and celebrity who thought “Children deserve to have an amazing place where they can come to laugh, learn and live life to the full”. Kathy launched a huge community fundraising drive throughout the North East and her vision became a reality with the creation of Grace House.

Our Values

Grace House have a number of values which we distill into everything we do. Namely that there is:

  • A positive culture within the charity.
  • That every contact is a positive experience.
  • Continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of the services that we provide to our disabled children and their families.
  • A range of specifically designed services offered, in a fully adapted building.
